6th graders participated in the Rapping About Prevention assembly today! No Puff Daddy and crew had students and staff dancing and rapping while teaching the importance of vape prevention.

MC Gibbons put it perfectly - students and staff showed courage tonight for getting up on stage and performing in front of a large crowd (and our two awesome judges)! PTA meeting update: the next PTA meeting is this Thursday at 6:30 p.m. in the cafeteria. Immediately following the PTA meeting, we will have an 8th grade parent meeting. The 8th grade meeting will begin after the close of PTA business at approximately 7:00 p.m. We will discuss end of year planning, a high school planning preview, and will review LMS 8th grade expectations.

Tuesday, January 16, 2024, all Caroline County Public Schools are closed for students. Offices are opening at 10:00 am for all 12 month employees. Please be safe in your travels.


Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2024, Caroline County Public Schools will be operating on a two hour delay in order to allow additional time to evaluate road conditions. If it is determined that schools should close for the day because of inclement weather and/or hazardous road conditions, families and staff will be notified no later than 6:00 a.m. Please travel safely.


In celebration of Martin Luther King Jr., the annual Unity March will take place tomorrow, January 14 at 9 am. Please join us in front of the school for a short program and march to the courthouse to hear the "I Have a Dream" speech.
If students would like to volunteer to set up for service learning hours, please arrive at the school no later than 8am. See you there!

Update: Tomorrow, Wednesday, January 10, Caroline County Public Schools will be operating on a two hour delay in order to allow additional time to evaluate road conditions. If it is determined that schools should close for the day because of inclement weather and/or hazardous road conditions, families and staff will be notified no later than 6:00 am.

Tues., Jan. 9: Due to the forecast of inclement weather, all afterschool and evening activities are canceled. The 6:00 pm Board of Education meeting will be held as scheduled and, as always, streamed online at tinyurl.com/4sha4mry.
Regarding Weds., Jan. 10, we are closely monitoring the weather forecast and as such, are in close contact with Caroline County Department of Emergency Services. Any decision to delay or close schools will be made based on conditions in the early morning and communicated through our usual channels no later than 5:30 a.m.
